How to Win Races in NFS Most Wanted Online in 2026

Getting smoked in online races? Racing real people in NFS Most Wanted Online is a whole different game from beating the AI. Here's how to start winning and climb the leaderboard.

Race Now is where it counts

Pick Race Now and the game puts you in a race with players in cars like yours. Every win pushes you up the leaderboard, so this is where you prove yourself.

And don't quit when you fall behind. Leaving a race is worse than finishing last, so it's always better to finish, even if you lose.

Don't brake for every corner

In NFS Most Wanted you can take most corners just by letting off the gas, because the cars grip like crazy. Save the brakes for the really tight ones.

Use your nitrous early

Nitrous fills back up while you drive, so don't save it for the finish line. Hit it early to pull away and build a lead. On a phone, slide your finger up from the gas pedal and hold it.

Put it to work

Stay away from the cops

Cops can show up in the middle of a race, and they'll do anything to stop you. Keep your distance, and if you see a Rhino SUV coming, get out of its way. Those heavy SUVs are built to ram you, and one hit can end your race.

Learn the shortcuts

Rockport is full of shortcuts, and in a close race one shortcut can decide it. Every time you race a track, look for a faster way through and use it every lap.

Pick the right car

Some cars win a lot more than others. See which ones are on top right now in the best cars in NFS Most Wanted Online.
